The Word Party
Just before the summer holidays I was asked by a publisher to make an illustration for a learning method for children. Kids in the age of 5 to 7 years old who just start to read. The drawing had to show a boy and a girl who were getting ready for a party. Trying on different clothes, shoes and hats to look at their best in this Word Party. In its definite form different words of objects you see in the picture will be put on both sides of the image. So that children can point out were these objects are to be found in the illustration.

The Word Party

Just before the summer holidays I was asked by publisher Kluitman to make an illustration for a learning method for children. Kids in the age of 5 to 7 years old who just start to read.

The drawing had to show a boy and a girl who were getting ready for a party. Trying on different clothes, shoes and hats to look at their best in this Word Party. In its definite form different words of objects you see in the picture will be put on both sides of the image. So that children can point out were these objects are to be found in the illustration.

This illustration is part of a series of illustrations (by other illustrators) for this method. In each image the little purple dragon hide itself, waiting to be discovered.
