Leonie Verbrugge | illustrator & book designer | illustration series 'The Ladies Climbing Club'
Inspired by the story about Junko Tabei, the first woman to ever climb the Mount Everest, I made this illustration series. I started with research into the personality of Junko, her expressions and how to portray her. Subsequently, I placed her in an environment and designed a cover with the story about 'The Ladies Climbing Club'.
